District and Parish Elections

We have received notification that the Quadrennial District Council and Parish Council elections are scheduled for 2 May 2019.
To Vote
You must be registered on the electoral role by 12 April 2019
To register for a postal vote this must be in place by 5pm on 15 April 2019
To stand as a Candidate
Nominations must be received by North East Derbyshire District Council between 25 March 2019 until 4.00pm on 3 April 2019
Anyone (meeting the criteria below) is welcome to be nominated to be a candidate
As long as you are over 18 on the day you are nominated,
A British, or qualifying Commonwealth citizen (with indefinite leave to remain),
or national of an EU member state
A registered local government elector for the local authority area, or owner or tenant of any land or premises in the local authority area during the whole 12 months preceding nomination or Principal or only place of work (including unpaid) during the last 12 months or lived in the local authority area during the last 12 months or live within 4.8km of the Parish boundary.
